Basketball my favourite game by Kenn Nesbitt

Tip 1: Read the slowly

Tip 2: Read in a normal, relaxed tone of voice

Tip 3:  you should only pause when there is punctuation

Tip 4: Use a dictionary to look up unfamiliar words and hard-to-pronounce words.

Here is a link to a site with good tips on how to read a poem out loud.

Here is a poem I like
Basketball's my favourite sport.

Basketball's my favourite  sport.
I dribble up and down the court.
The ball goes bouncing off my toes
and beans the teacher on the nose.

He stumbles back and grabs his nose
and hits the wall and down he goes.
The other players stop and stare.
They've never heard the teacher swear.

With no one playing anymore,
I grab the ball. I shoot. I score.
I love this game! It's so much fun.
The teacher cried, but, hey--we won.
